Positive: The setting is very attractive and peaceful, with lovely walks around the estate and plenty of birdlife. The welcome at reception was friendly, and our interaction with Joel at checkout was particularly positive — he was helpful and took time to explain other facilities available on the estate.

Negative: The overall experience did not fully meet expectations for a five-star property. Restaurant service was often slow and inconsistent, with delays for food and drinks and occasional menu items unavailable after ordering. We chose to dine outside the lodge for our final meals. The rooms felt somewhat dated, housekeeping was inconsistent, and items such as tea, coffee, and water were not always replenished. Staff were polite, but service delivery appeared uneven.

Summary: A lovely natural setting, but service, dining, and accommodation standards were inconsistent for a property positioned
