4 Bedroom Ski Chalet in Berkeley Springs
Some places are meant to keep you busy. Others remind you to slow down.
Welcome to The Pause, a thoughtfully renovated A-frame set on two private wooded acres just minutes from historic Berkeley Springs.
Inspired by Scandinavian simplicity and the natural beauty of the West Virginia mountains, the home feels warm, calm, and easy to settle into.
Soaring cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, expansive windows, and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace create a space that is both dramatic and deeply comfortable; a place for long dinners, quiet mornings, fireside conversations, and time together that does not need to be rushed.
More than a weekend cabin, The Pause was created as a home you can truly settle into, with comfortable gathering spaces and thoughtful details throughout. It works beautifully for a long weekend, a full week away, or a longer stay in the mountains.
Start the morning with coffee or yoga on the deck as the woods wake up around you. Spend the afternoon exploring America’s first spa town, hiking nearby Cacapon Resort State Park, or wandering through Berkeley Springs’ cafés, galleries, and locally owned shops. Then come home for dinner around the table, ping pong downstairs, a movie, or a quiet evening by the fire.
