Summary: its a good hotel in a quiet location with a good pool BUT for a 5 start it really lacks outside areas that guests can enjoy... no terrace for drinks or tea... limited seating if any outside of the restaurants. Varq was a good restaurant the others were no more than average. We have stayed with the Taj group before in mumbai and we were surprised by how disappointing the hotel was. We stayed at the Imperial for 8 days prior to our stay at the taj and unless the Taj improves we will only now ever stay at the Imperial (which is excellent)
