## Emplacement
The 2nd arrondissement of Paris is one of the historical financial centers of Europe, being home to the former Stock Exchange which is now called Brongniart Palace. Other major activities in the neighborhood are journalism and fashion (you will find the very known Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, but also all major shopping stores near the Opera on the same boulevard!). The 2nd is also famous for its Sainte-Anne street, known to Parisians as a haunt for typical Japanese restaurants and shops.

While the previously mentioned activities are all daylight activities, the eastern end of the arrondissement - notably the charming rue Montorgueil - has an entirely different reputation, younger and more dynamic.
