Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Great location,5 minute walk to the river and ferry over to the Northside. There were 2 cafes within a 1 minute and 3 minutes walk. Staff there were very good as was the food. The rooms are near to various shops and stalls, and 5 minutes from tuk tuks keen to show you the temples. A couple of issues were dealt with no fuss, and either Ravi or his brother Shashi were close by when needed.

Negative: The rooms were quite small which I would recommend for a solo traveller. Not the accomodation, there are plenty of monkeys around and very quick, I had a cadburys daily milk bar thieved plus a few bananas. The banana thief was quite aggressive and if you see them close have a stick handy.

Summary: Having been in Bangalore then Mumbai, Hampi was very laid back and a great contrast to those two cities. I would certain
