Summary: The receptionist at check-in was fantastic, friendly, welcoming, and a real credit to the property. The location was also very convenient. Unfortunately, the room was quite tired and didn't feel like good value for the price. The blind had a broken hook on one side, leaving a gap at the top that let in plenty of early morning light. The shower (over the bath) was difficult to adjust, with the taps making it almost impossible to find a comfortable temperature. The pet-friendly rooms are only on the second floor, which made late-night toilet trips with my dog inconvenient. The bar fridge was also very noisy whenever it cycled on but the road noise often drowned it out. Overall, the great service at check-in and handy location weren't enough to outweigh the condition of the room for the price.
